I've lived in Canada, the USA and England.
I hate tomatoes but love tomato products.
I love politics and mine lean left. I abhor George W. Bush. I love democracy though frequently find myself reminding people that the USA is a republic. I'm certainly not a communist and will be the first to discuss its theoretical shortcomings. I vote and take my duties very seriously. I hope you do, too. We aren't asked to do much as Americans, other than pay taxes - so shunning our voting duties is... lame!
I like nouns that start with the letter "P." These include punk, pubs, porn, people, places, peaches and pigtails.
I love books, travel, learning, theatre, intelligent conversation and music. Wit, humor and sarcasm (though not cruelty) are welcome here.
I'm not sure I could exist sans books, travel and music. Countries I've visited include: Canada, USA, Mexico, Bahamas, England, Scotland, Ireland, Israel, France, Germany, Spain, Greece, Italy, Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Tunisia, Iceland and that's all I can think of right now.
I spend a whole lot of time in jail. By choice. Because I work there. My Masters is in Social Work and I work as a forensic therapist. I love what I do - it challenges me on a daily basis and I am never, ever bored. Forensic treatment is fascinating, but my advice remains: don't get arrested.
I am lucky to have an amazing group of close friends. And most of my family rocks. My cats are spiffy and I love them immensely.
